Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a brand new battle royale game from Square Enix that takes players into the popular Final Fantasy universe. You'll experience lots of new features from the original Final Fantasy games can even use some of the original characters and their abilities.
There's a lot to experience in the game, and while most battle royale games don't usually have story modes, this one sort of does. The storyline takes players back to 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, and it only gets interesting from there.
So in this guide article, we'll be helping you understand some of the game's features and concepts from the abilities of the characters, their Styles, and other controls from the advanced tutorial.
Every soldier in Final Fantasy VII: TFS possesses a unique style to pull off their unique skills and abilities in battle. The first phase of the tutorial training will see you use the Warrior Style. This style is most proficient in melee attacks and when a slightly distant enemy is locked in its sight. The Warrior Style can also charge heavily towards enemies and unleash deadly melee attacks and also allows you to move rapidly across short distances with an instant rush that brings out what seems like a shield.
Using the Warrior Style, the ability that comes with this style is called Fearless Charge and is placed on the lower right side of the screen, and tapping it lets you use the ability. You can upgrade this Style Mastery up to level 60.
This style is recommended for players who enjoy using magic and magical characters in games. Still, this isn't exactly the case in the battle royale sense because you can't entirely depend on magic in a battle royal game as the damage dealt by magic is usually short-ranged while weapons deal long-range attacks.
Using the Sorcerer, her special ability is called Magic Boost. Upgrading your melee weapon helps increase the damage dealt by material and augment the effects of fire, blizzard, and thunder. The Sorcerer recovers MP faster than most and can also be upgraded to level 60.
This stylish style has many benefits in battle because Ninja Styled characters are very flexible and can outrun opponents in difficult situations than most characters. Their special ability is called Acrobat as it allows them to jump an extra jump after a midjump, and if you happen to fall or slide down from a Parkour, you can jump again as well using the Ninja Styled character.
They aren't as powerful as most characters, but if you prefer not to die quicker in battle, then you may want to give them a shot at survival. They're fast, they're climbers, and they can be upgraded to level 60 too.
Similar to the warrior, the monk possesses a powerful ability called Inner Strength. This allows them automatically recover a certain level of damage they've received from enemies. Additionally, when your overall HP is reduced to 20% or lower in a match, a recovery effect will activate, and your entire melee attacks will become critical hits for a short time.
The monk is a powerful character style that often fights the enemies and comes out looking all new afterward. They're hard to put down due to their HP regeneration ability and critical melee attacks. They're reliable and can be leveled up to 60.
The Ranger is a dangerous-styled character from whom everything in his hands is a weapon. Their special ability makes them ammunition experts due to their quick thinking and survival skills in battle. They're similar to the warrior style because other than being able to manage ammunitions and their deadly target, they're also very good with melee weapons. The Ranger can kill with both long swords and short daggers, and in most cases, they prefer the short daggers.
For their armor manageability, Rangers can increase inventory for armor and the amount of armor they can find, which gives them an edge against others. If you're up against a ranger, you're likely to run out of armor sooner than they will, which allows them to put you down as you are reloading. Also, compared to other Styles, the Ranger's reload time is decreased by 20%, giving them an even more edge against other characters. They can be upgraded to level 60 as well.
Unlike other battle royale games, this is one of the most interesting features of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. The game lets you walk and instantly climb walls or rocks using Parkour. You can use this skill to climb through windows and any other obstacle that looks climbable.
Furthermore, jumping against a wall allows you to scale right past it. Parkour is a very important skill that lets your character climb and reach high places and climb over obstacles rather than taking the long road of found around them. It's a pretty useful feature against enemies because you can climb walls when you're being shot at, and it gives you more escape options.
Mataria is the resource that lets you use magic in Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. While the basic material items let you cast a fireball against enemies, the more advanced material ability lets you summon a powerful beast to fight alongside you.
While many other battle royale games allow you to locate a supply drop and equip its items to face off against powerful bosses, it also lets you find a supply drop, equip the Summon Materia in it, and conjure a formidable beast to help you in battle. That's pretty cool. Perhaps every game style has its respective beasts. Still, since we're using the Warrior Style, the conjured beast has flammability that allows it to throw fireballs at enemies and stomp on the ground, causing an Area of Effect damage to surrounding enemies.
