Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier - Beginners Guide to Game Story, Characters Customization, Attack, and Using Magic

After its anticipation, developers Square Enix have launched its very own Battle Royale game in the actual Final Fantasy universe. Players can play with some of the famous characters from the franchise and use some of the franchise’s exciting features such as weapons, vehicles, armor, and, even more exciting, magic.    There are many features to explore in Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, many of which will give players a whole new battle royale experience in an entirely new and different universe from Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile.    In this beginner’s guide article, we’ll be detailing some of the game’s must-know features and concepts that you need to understand to get the hang of the gameplay in no time. So without further ado, let’s dive into it.     Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Storyline Being a battle royale game, there isn’t exactly a playable storyline attached to the game. Still, it starts with a prologue that takes us to the past as far back as 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, in 1977. The prologue shows an experiment being done on unidentified individuals from 1977 to 1984.   It turns out the experiment wasn’t as successful as they hoped, and in 1988 a war broke out between humans and powerful monsters that seemed like Kaijus. The battle went on for years, and we see a team of fighters battling human enemies, and one of the fighters was able to conjure a giant monster that looked like the ones they were battling in 1988.      The story ends when you and your team are about to jump out of a plane and into the battle royale vicinity, where the second phase of the game’s tutorial kicks off.    Tutorial Phase 1 At the start of the game, you’ll be introduced to Project 0, a virtual training system that’s made to get you through the first basic tutorial of the game. The first thing you need to do is register yourself into the system by choosing your gender, either male or female.    Afterward, you’ll be required to set up more appearance preferences by choosing you to want your character to look by customizing their hair, face color, hair color, eye color, lips, nose, and even sound of the voice. Yes, you can change how you want your character to sound when auto-communicating with teammates in battle.    Customizing your Character   The customization feature early on is pretty cool is because not only does it let you set everything up before the fight commences, but many of its features are free. You get to customize your character however you want. After you’ve chosen your preferred appearance, click the end button and save appearance. You’ll receive a prompt from the Project 0 virtual training system that your appearance has been registered, and next is your name.    Unlike your character customizations that can be changed later in the game, you cannot change your name later once you set it from the start of the game. So choose carefully the name you want to use moving forward. Once you’ve chosen your name, the game’s tutorial Phase 1 will now commence.      Crouch, Roll, and Crawl   The basic tutorial Phase 1 involves understanding the basic controls that pretty much every battle royale game offers, such as moving with the Joystick. The Joystick is placed on the left while the camera movement is placed on the left.   At the start of the tutorial, you can also choose the position of your virtual pad. The crouch button on the lower left of the screen lets you crouch, and if you tap it twice, you’ll roll on the floor, which lets you dodge enemy attacks. And you can crawl by holding down the button, which makes it a triple-action button.      Attacking   Since swords are like the primary weapons in the Final Fantasy universe, players can use swords and guns. You can attack enemies using your sword by tapping the button placed at both the left and right sides of the screen. For guns, you’ll need the armor, of course, and to fire a weapon, you simply need to tap on the fire button placed on the lower right of the screen. Similar to other battle royale titles, this game lets you choose between three shooting options:   Auto Fire: This option automatically lets you fire at enemies or objects whenever your weapon’s crosshair is on a target.  Floating Fire: With this option, the fire button will continuously float on the screen and follow the camera.  Fixed Fire: This is the most preferred fire button placement option for most players as it places the fire button to your preferred fixed location on the screen and lets you manually fire at enemies with or without crosshair. You can also aim with a scope by tapping the scope button on the far right side of the screen.      However, whatever shooting option you decide to finish the tutorial with, you can switch to a different option later on in the game.    Using Magic  One of the first magic tricks or abilities you’ll use is a fireball attack known as Materia. It lets you charge up and fire a blazing fireball at enemies that is deadly to them. And if you use it at a close range, it can also cause damage to you and decrease your health substantially.    So, you can use magic in Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier by collecting Materia. When used, this is an item that will consume a certain amount of your MP and will activate a cool-down timer that prevents you from using it again until the timer ends. The rarity of Materia can be increased by obtaining the same Materia items again because as the rarity increases, so does the strength of the Materia.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier - Guide to Character Styles, Parkour, and Supply Drop

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a brand new battle royale game from Square Enix that takes players into the popular Final Fantasy universe. You'll experience lots of new features from the original Final Fantasy games can even use some of the original characters and their abilities.    There's a lot to experience in the game, and while most battle royale games don't usually have story modes, this one sort of does. The storyline takes players back to 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, and it only gets interesting from there.    So in this guide article, we'll be helping you understand some of the game's features and concepts from the abilities of the characters, their Styles, and other controls from the advanced tutorial.    Understanding Styles   The Warrior Style   Every soldier in Final Fantasy VII: TFS possesses a unique style to pull off their unique skills and abilities in battle. The first phase of the tutorial training will see you use the Warrior Style. This style is most proficient in melee attacks and when a slightly distant enemy is locked in its sight. The Warrior Style can also charge heavily towards enemies and unleash deadly melee attacks and also allows you to move rapidly across short distances with an instant rush that brings out what seems like a shield.    Using the Warrior Style, the ability that comes with this style is called Fearless Charge and is placed on the lower right side of the screen, and tapping it lets you use the ability. You can upgrade this Style Mastery up to level 60.     The Sorcerer Style   This style is recommended for players who enjoy using magic and magical characters in games. Still, this isn't exactly the case in the battle royale sense because you can't entirely depend on magic in a battle royal game as the damage dealt by magic is usually short-ranged while weapons deal long-range attacks.    Using the Sorcerer, her special ability is called Magic Boost. Upgrading your melee weapon helps increase the damage dealt by material and augment the effects of fire, blizzard, and thunder. The Sorcerer recovers MP faster than most and can also be upgraded to level 60.      The Ninja Style    This stylish style has many benefits in battle because Ninja Styled characters are very flexible and can outrun opponents in difficult situations than most characters. Their special ability is called Acrobat as it allows them to jump an extra jump after a midjump, and if you happen to fall or slide down from a Parkour, you can jump again as well using the Ninja Styled character.    They aren't as powerful as most characters, but if you prefer not to die quicker in battle, then you may want to give them a shot at survival. They're fast, they're climbers, and they can be upgraded to level 60 too.      The Monk Style   Similar to the warrior, the monk possesses a powerful ability called Inner Strength. This allows them automatically recover a certain level of damage they've received from enemies. Additionally, when your overall HP is reduced to 20% or lower in a match, a recovery effect will activate, and your entire melee attacks will become critical hits for a short time.    The monk is a powerful character style that often fights the enemies and comes out looking all new afterward. They're hard to put down due to their HP regeneration ability and critical melee attacks. They're reliable and can be leveled up to 60.     The Ranger Style   The Ranger is a dangerous-styled character from whom everything in his hands is a weapon. Their special ability makes them ammunition experts due to their quick thinking and survival skills in battle. They're similar to the warrior style because other than being able to manage ammunitions and their deadly target, they're also very good with melee weapons. The Ranger can kill with both long swords and short daggers, and in most cases, they prefer the short daggers.   For their armor manageability, Rangers can increase inventory for armor and the amount of armor they can find, which gives them an edge against others. If you're up against a ranger, you're likely to run out of armor sooner than they will, which allows them to put you down as you are reloading. Also, compared to other Styles, the Ranger's reload time is decreased by 20%, giving them an even more edge against other characters. They can be upgraded to level 60 as well.      Parkour Unlike other battle royale games, this is one of the most interesting features of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. The game lets you walk and instantly climb walls or rocks using Parkour. You can use this skill to climb through windows and any other obstacle that looks climbable.    Furthermore, jumping against a wall allows you to scale right past it. Parkour is a very important skill that lets your character climb and reach high places and climb over obstacles rather than taking the long road of found around them. It's a pretty useful feature against enemies because you can climb walls when you're being shot at, and it gives you more escape options.      The Supply Drop  Mataria is the resource that lets you use magic in Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. While the basic material items let you cast a fireball against enemies, the more advanced material ability lets you summon a powerful beast to fight alongside you.    While many other battle royale games allow you to locate a supply drop and equip its items to face off against powerful bosses, it also lets you find a supply drop, equip the Summon Materia in it, and conjure a formidable beast to help you in battle. That's pretty cool. Perhaps every game style has its respective beasts. Still, since we're using the Warrior Style, the conjured beast has flammability that allows it to throw fireballs at enemies and stomp on the ground, causing an Area of Effect damage to surrounding enemies.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier - Guide to finding and upgrading weapons, vehicles, game modes, and leveling up

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is an enticing new battle royale game from acclaimed developers Square Enix. The game introduces unfamiliar players to the world of Final Fantasy and some of its most interesting characters and features. And for players familiar with the Final Fantasy universe, they're about to experience a whole new battle royale game that, while introducing many new features, adds a very uncommon one – magic!   We've detailed some of the exciting features of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier in our other beginner's guides, such as the Summons, Materia, and special ability. So in this article, we'll be giving you a thorough guide on the game's battle royale features and the cool things you can do while facing enemies and trying to stay alive.    Tutorial Phase 2 This is the last phase of the game's tutorial, and it takes place in the Fray where your commanding officer named Lucia will prepare you for the final training. Like in every other battle royale game, your main objective is to be the last man standing. So this second tutorial Phase in the game is made to help you scale through this stage and master the game's concepts.    Finding weapons   Weapons play an integral role in this game, and even though they're able to keep you alive to a certain time, you can't win against real opponents using a sword because it is only good for long-range attacks, but hey, we never said you couldn't try. But to be on the safe side, you best find weapons as well, so you have both weapon and sword to back you up.   You can find different types of firearms by searching the vicinity and looking inside different houses. Eventually, you'll find both weapons and armor. Sometimes you'll find unique-looking chests that hold valuable items such as portions and Gil – the purpose of these items will be later explained in this guide.      Chests and Enemy Loots   So while searching for weapons, keep an eye out for chests as well because you may just find something far valuable than a weapon. Another way to get items and even weapons is by collecting items from a dead enemy. Whenever you kill an enemy or come across one killed by a different player, you can actually collect their items and add them to your inventory. Some enemies carry items that surpass your own, so always check to see what they died carrying.      The Map The map is an important part of every battle royale game because it's how you navigate your movement, your next destination, check for information on hazardous areas, and place markers on a map by tapping on any location to pinpoint it. This allows you to get to your desired location faster.    The map will also show you symbols that will appear towards any marker you've placed on it. Moving around is quite simple because of the game's parkour and climb feature. If you're heading to any location on the map, you'll get there faster because there are little to no obstacles that can block your path. Parkour allows your characters to climb walls and windows.      Upgrading Weapons and Items in Battle This is also another interesting feature in this game. Players can upgrade their weapons while in battle using Gil. It can be acquired by opening those unique chests we told you about, and you can use them to upgrade your weapons at the various vending machines located across every location on the map.    And that's not all. You can also refill your Materia and other resources using vending machines as well. So that's pretty cool because it's like a time-out. If you're out of armor or your weapon isn't good enough, you can locate a vending machine, and with enough Gil, you can get yourself a new weapon or upgrade the existing one.      Leveling Up Whenever you attain a specific XP threshold, your character will level up. And leveling up is highly recommended because it increases both your HP and MP to new level milestones, allowing your Style skills to grow even stronger.    The leveling up is faster than if you've reached a high level in the game if you're starting out. So for beginners, they'll level up as quickly as killing an enemy. Another way to level up easily is by killing mini monsters. These are tiny red monsters that you'll come across in certain locations, and they'll come at you for one purpose only – to kill you. So you can decide to kill them first. And we suggest using Melee weapons against them rather than guns.      Vehicles There are cool vehicles that you can drive in this game, but there aren't many options to choose from just yet. We hope they will add more in future updates. But as it stands, the automobiles in this game are pretty cool-looking, but the control is one-handed and with a joystick. Perhaps this can be adjusted in this game's settings as well.    But we're not sure because the tutorial does not prompt a vehicle control button change for players to choose their preferred control. But if this cannot be adjusted, we can add it to the list of changes we expect to see in the game's future updates. Vehicles are important because they let you travel to far distances quickly or if you're trying to escape a safe zone shrink which releases a deadly gas that can kill you if you don't get out of it in time.    The game has standard utility vehicles, helicopters, bikes, and Chocobos (an ostrich-like animal from the Final Fantasy universe).      Game Modes The game has two game modes with three subsidiary modes that you can play. Ranked Match and Standard Match. Each of these modes has three modes that are Team, Solo, and Chocobo farm. Team mode lets you play with friends as a team and be the last man standing. Solo means you're heading out alone and hope to be the last man standing.     Unlike other vehicles, the game doesn't give you a Choboco animal from the start; you have to get one yourself, so we can assume that the Chocobo farm is where you'll try to get a Choboco.

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier pre-registrations to start soon

Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is an excellent mobile battle royale game from Ateam Entertainment and Square Enix. This game is planned to be released in November for iOS as well as Android platforms. But a specific release date has not been declared yet. All we know is that the game will be launching in November.   Parallel to the teased launch of the game, the developers announced a new genre and type of gameplay experience as a generous part of Square Enix's presents at TGS 2021. The new gameplay style is called "Ninja Style," and as the name suggests, it is all about stealth followed by mobility. The battle styles include throwing shurikens at enemies, which is very ninja-like.   Before the rumored release, the game has finished with its closed beta program in June and has made some changes suggested by the players. A survey was conducted, and most of the feedback from the players was "satisfied" and "very satisfied" with the overall game experience.    Even though the game had so many positive responses, the developers thought there was still room for small improvements.   These small adjustments include the introduction of controller support for the players who do not prefer the usage of touch screens for gameplay. Othen than that some improvements also include introduction of a training course in the beginning along with a more refined tutorial. Also, a collection feature has been added, enabling players to collect items from special boxes and trade monster drops for customizable in-game skins.     Overall Insights of the gameplay experience For the newcomers or players who do not have an insight into the franchise, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is from the battle royale genre of games where the player will be competing with 75 other players and fight till one player is left on the battlefield. The last man standing will be the winner.   There are various weapons and artifacts to explore, such as guns, swords, spells, etc. These can help defeat your enemies and help kill monsters from which you can gain some experience points.   The Final Fantasy franchise has been very consistent with their game releases. Their PC games have been super duper hits right from the start when PC gaming was very new to the world. These games entering the mobile platform have huge potential for the success of their other releases. A huge and consistent fan base ensures that the game won't disappoint new players who join the battle royal.   Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier will be released for the Android and iOS platforms simultaneously. The game will be available as a free-to-play game on Google Play Store and Apple App Store on their respective operating systems. Currently you can check out the pre-registration and beta tests related information on the official website.   The expected November release will be very exciting for the players who have been eagerly waiting for the game to release. A specific date of release is still unknown.
