Heroes War: Counterattack is a turn-based Role-Playing Game developed by Com2uS. The game follows the story of heroes trying to save humanity from the deadly Z-Virus. Your task as the play is to recruit mercenaries, pick up equipment, and try and upgrade skills and abilities.
In this game, you need to focus on your positioning, lookout for the best counterattack, and win the game. Try to stay alive and become a hero! The game features hero recruiting mechanics. These recruits are known as Mercenaries. You must customize their skills and win your matches.
In this article, we are going to talk about how you can increase your speed of progression by a huge amount and beat all your enemies instantly. So, without further ado, let's get started.
Heroes War: Counter Attack has a large, almost overwhelming amount of quests that can be completed as soon as you start the game. The game follows an open-world format, so the order of doing those quests is totally dependent on the player.
However, since the main storyline quests are linear in progression, you must do the first one before you can do the second. We recommend that you always complete your main storyline quests as they provide you with a large number of resources and exclusive items and gear you can only get from those particular quests.
As you progress further, you might encounter side quests. Try to do those as well. The advantage of completing every quest, especially in later stages of the game, is that you will always have building materials for any sort of crafting, gear, gold, fragments, equipment, etc.
Also, if you keep beating your quests, the quality of the rewards offered will also gradually increase. But, to get to that point, you need to start grinding those quests.
The game features a lot of free rewards and other general upgrades and card quests that you can avail for free rewards. These rewards allow the player to quickly progress much faster as they offer a lot of resources that you cannot get quicker from anywhere else.
We recommend that you always spend 20 to 30 minutes on your daily quests as they are generally the most rewarding. While Card quests might seem quite simple to do, they actually become more demanding as you do them as they have layers baked into them.
However, you cannot go wrong in doing any of these quests as they have no penalty for failing except that some of them are timed, and you lose a lot on that if you fail them. But, ultimately, there is no penalty or downside, so you can keep doing them until you succeed.
The Daily Training Mode is generally the best place for you to farm items and progress your character. The Mobs found there are plentiful, and the resources you get there are quite useful.
Mob drops are different in the game in the sense that there is always a chance that they might drop a very rare or ultra-rare item. When that is the case, we recommend that you spend the majority of your time playing the game trying to get that exclusive loot. This is simply because of the fact that even doing a lot of quests will not equate that the quality and rarity of an item you might get from those random drops, which would make your entire grind worth it.
Moreover, when you kill those monsters, it's not like you don't receive anything except that rate drop. You still get common loot, crafting materials, and other resources that are vital to your progression anyway.
Mercenaries are the crux of your gameplay. Without a well-rounded draft, you will not be able to survive the heat of battle or fight off against enemies that keep on getting harder and harder every time you defeat them. Therefore, we recommend that you focus all your efforts on trying to empower your Mercenaries whenever it feels like it makes sense. However, there are some general mistakes that you should avoid, which might hinder you from progressing fast.
Firstly, do not empower every Mercenary, especially ones that you find earlier in the game. These will quickly be overtaken by characters that have better stats and rarities. At that time, it would be wiser for you to spend your resources on those particular Mercenaries rather than wasting them on early game rarities.
Secondly, it is important to note that the resources consumed per XP count increase exponentially. So, a Mercenary is going to take more XP the more you upgrade him, and the higher his level gets in an exponential manner. Remember to then always think twice before upgrading a particular Mercenary.
Your Mercenaries are extremely powerful on their own. However, in Heroes War: Counterattack, it's their collective that really matters. Thankfully, the developers have made it quite easy for you to develop a proper composition. Here are all the different types of classes of Mercenaries:
You must have all these classes in your team of Mercenaries for you to have a chance of progressing fast, as, without each of them, your team will lack the synergy or durability to survive.
Heroes War: Counterattack is an extremely impressive RPG game that has successfully combined a global scale pandemic with elements of combat to churn out a game that has taken the world by storm.
The main draw of the game is the fact that it combines strategy with RNG in a unique manner. The mercenaries you get throughout the game are random, while what you do with them in terms of resource management and overall efficiency is completely dependent on you.
Hopefully, by the end of this guide, you have a much better idea of what you can do to maximize your overall XP gain per day and thus progress faster in Heroes War: Counterattack.
