Skylanders: Ring of Heroes A Complete Gear Guide to becoming Pro

Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is a role-playing turn-based game that recently got a new look. You can also say it's the start of a new Era for developers and players as the game was released about two years ago.

According to the developers, they wanted to bring something new but not in the shape of an update. Believe it or not, they did bring a lot of changes. For example, they have added IDLE Functionality, meaning if you are sick of grinding for hours, this is the perfect game because you don't need to grind gold and other items as the IDLE Functionality will do it in the background for you. Today, I will share the ultimate knowledge of the Ether Gear System. So, without further ado, let's get started.

Ether System:

Ether is a universal Gear System in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes. So, you will be able to utilize any Ether Gear on any of your Skylanders, and the best part about Ether Gear is that they are not specific to any individual classes.

The first thing that we should talk about is where you can find or get ether gear in Skylander: Ring of Heroes. You can get Gear from only two places: The first one is Adventure Mode, and the second place you can get Gear from is Challenge Mode.

Adventure Mode:

Go to Adventure mode and then to the second stage of Easy mode. Complete the second Island and make sure you earn three-stars in every stage; it's not a requirement, but it looks cool.

If you check the rewards at 2-7, you will see the first piece of one-star premium Ether Gear. You have to collect the required amount of premium Ether. Once they are collected and earned by completing the specific stage in the adventure mode, it will then transition that individual Ether piece into an actual piece of Gear that you can then equip to your Skylanders.

However, Adventure mode is not a perfect farming place for Ether Gear as if you take a look at Normal Stage 9-7; you will realize how low quality you get even at that high stage. At the Normal 9-7 stage, you get one level 3 premium Ether piece and one level 1 premium Ether piece. Farming and Grinding at that stage will require at least 150k Battle Power, which is not an easy task to obtain, but even after being there, it doesn't seem like it's worth it compared with the Campaign mode of Ether Gear farming.

Challenge Mode:

The other way to obtain Ether Gear in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is through Challenge Mode. Go to Challenge Mode, then go to Cyclops Ether Fortress, as the name explains a lot; this is the massive Ether Gear place, and the best part about obtaining Gear from this mode is you get high-level Ether Gear pieces. However, it isn't easy to farm this mode, so you have to power up your Battle Power Efficiently as a F2P player.

Your ultimate goal in Cyclops Ether Fortress should be the sixth floor as it provides the most amount of Ether Gear, so it is recommended that you make a strong team that can grind the sixth floor on its own without losing. The recommended Battle Power to beat the sixth-floor "Ruins Guardian" requires at least 331,436. Compared to Adventure Mode, it's quite massive, but the rewards are so worth it and all the trouble and time you spent achieving that.

However, you can farm the fifth floor of Cyclops Ether Fortress as it requires about 182,761 Battle Power, which you can obtain quite efficiently within a few days of playing, but as you go higher and further in the game, it will be a lot difficult to raise Battle Power quicker.

The best formation and Skylanders also matters when it comes to grinding these stages. If you are F2P and it still seems a lot to obtain that high Battle Power, you can farm first, second, and third floor. Believe it or not, it's a piece of cake compared to the fifth and sixth floor. Yes, your ultimate goal should be farming/grinding the sixth floor, but you should farm whatever you can at the early stages of the game.

⦁    The first floor requires about 42,940 Battle Power.

⦁    The second floor requires about 53,998 Battle Power.

⦁    The third floor requires about 69,384 Battle Power.

All of this required Battle Power is what you need to clean the floor manually, but to auto-grind these floors, you need to be a little bit stronger as the auto-grinding system won't play like an actual human being. The fourth floor takes a jump as it requires 119,539 Battle Power, so make a wise choice and farm whatever stage you choose the best.

You can obtain the following Ether Gear from First, Second, Third, and Fourth Floor of Cyclops Ether Fortress:

⦁    First Floor will provide you one Premium 2-Star Ether Gear Piece and one Rare 2-Star Ether Gear Piece.

⦁   The Second Floor will provide you one Premium 3-Star Ether Gear Piece, one Premium 2-Star Ether Gear Piece, and one Rare 2-Star Ether Gear Piece.

⦁    The Third Floor will provide you one Heroic 3-Star Ether Gear Piece, one Rare 3-Star Ether gear Piece, and one Premium 3-Star Ether Gear Piece.

⦁    The fourth Floor will provide you one Legendary 4-Star Ether Gear Piece, one Heroic 4-Star Ether Gear Piece, and one Rare 4-Star Ether Gear Piece.

The best Floor for you to farm at early stages is the Third Floor as it provides you with the high-level Ether Gear Pieces and its Battle Power requirement is quite easy to achieve to auto-grind.

Ether Gear Rarity and Property:

Let's talk about Ether Gear Rarity in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes. There are four different types of Ether Gear rarity in the game. They are as follows:

⦁   Green Ether Gear Rarity is commonly known as Premium Ether in the game.

⦁    Blue Ether Gear Rarity, commonly known as Rare Ether in the game.

⦁   Purple Ether Gear Rarity, commonly known as Heroic Ether in the game.

⦁  Orange is the highest Ether Gear Rarity in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes, commonly known as Legendary Ether.

It's pretty obvious what you need to aim for, but that's where you make a huge mistake. First of all, obtaining a legendary Ether Gear is quite hard, and even if you obtain it, the power-up will cost so much.

Instead, as a F2P player, you should go for Heroic Ether as they are much easier to power-up than Legendary Ether. You do get duplicates of Ether Gear, which you can Recycle for the Game Money. Game Money is normally used to Power-Up Ether Gear, which increases the stats of Ether Gear. The key-note here is that do not equip Gear on your every Skylanders because when you Extract Gear, it cost you Gold even though it's not much, but you need all the Gold you can get.

Property of Each Ether Gear is the Stats and Sub Stats of the Gear. So, there are different properties ranging from attack to defense, but if you look at the quantity of Stats and Sub Stats, you will notice quite a massive difference. For example, a Premium Ether Gear has one main Property and one Sub Property, whereas a Rare Ether Gear will have one main property and two Sub Property.

The amount of Mian property will remain the same no matter the rarity of Ether Gear, but the amount of Sub Property will increase as you go higher. The Heroic Ether will have three Sub Property, and the Legendary will have four Sub Property.

The crucial and essential thing to know here is that it doesn't matter what star level Gear you have because the quantity of Sub Property depends on the rarity of Ether Gear, not their star levels. For example, a four-star Legendary Ether Gear will have the same Sub Property number as a one-star Legendary Ether Gear.

Upgrade or Power-System of Ether Gear:

Understanding of Upgrading or Power-up Gear in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes is quite important as this is one of the major places where many new players make mistakes. Powering-Up or Upgrading Gear requires Gold and Game Money (Ether Gems). What most players do is level up low-rarity and low star Gear and use all of the precious Ether Gems.

Even though you can recycle your Gear and get Ether Gems, what will you do when you run out of extra Gear to Recycle? You will have to spend hours on auto-battles or farming Gear to recycle, but this isn't a smart choice. Even if you have easy access to all the Gear you can recycle, you should never bet on that because it's about time you will have to spent to obtain extra Gear.

In Power-Up, you will have the option to power one level or different levels altogether. You can only power-up gear to a maximum level of 15, and as you power-up the Gear, the cost will eventually go up step by step. Each Gear stats/property and sub-property will increase as you power-up your gear in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes.

Conclusion:

We have also added some Ether Gear Tips and Tricks along with how you can benefit from it, so make sure to follow it to the letter and make a huge difference in Skylanders: Ring of Heroes with your ultimate Ether Gear knowledge and understanding.
