NBA NOW 22 Review - A breath of fresh air that may have been bogged down with too much content

The NBA Now 22 is a brand new basketball game from developers Com2Us, which the NBA officially licensed to develop mobile gaming using real-life NBA teams and players. The game introduces new and exciting features that some players might call a breath of fresh air for the sports genre.   There's a lot to like about this game, such as the many game modes, unique touch controls, a necessary Auto-play feature, and just the authentic feel of being in control of real-life NBA stars and taking them to court to battle against rival teams.    In a way, this game also blends basketball simulation with card collection. This means you can recruit new players to your team by acquiring various player cards. With that said, we'll be reviewing the game in a detailed format in this article, where we'll give you the game's pros and cons, but mostly pros. So without further ado, here's our review of NBA Now 22.   THE GOOD   Amazing Graphics & Visuals NBA Now 22 offers some pretty fascinating graphics and visuals similar to other super-sized NBA titles on the mobile platform. The graphics show the player's faces, and you can see the resemblance with the real-life player. The movement of the players is also well designed to give players the feel of controlling a real-life NBA star on the court.   From the menu screen to the court, the entire game has stunning visuals that offer intense clarity in all aspects of the game. From shooting the ball, dribbling opponents to stealing, you'll experience nothing but real-time movements of the players.      Lots of Game Modes to Play There are so many game modes to play in this game that we think it's even bogged down with too much content. The menu screen contains up to 7 playable modes: League Mode, Arcade Mode, Battle Mode, Mission Mode, Prediction Mode, Friend Mode, and a Challenge Mode. Each of these modes has a unique feature that is new to NBA mobile games.    The league mode is the main and most important mode of all as it consists of the season matches where you'll battle AI opponents in home and away matches in a total of 82 games. This is a lot considering the size of the game, but it's the developer's way of further showcasing the game's uniqueness.    There's also a PvP battle mode that allows you to go head to head with random players online and play with friends in the Friend Mode. Some of these modes go as far as utilizing real-world stats and fixtures to make the game feel more exciting and connected to the real-life NBA.     Impressive and Unique Controls One of the most exciting parts about this game is the virtual joystick controls that allow players to play the game with just one hand. All the commands like movement, passing, shooting, dribbling, tackling, etc., can all be executed using that one virtual joystick. It can be tricky to get the hang of the game at first, but it's like a whole new experience for basketball games on mobile.    The virtual joystick controls are the game's default type A control that all players start with. However, suppose you're not exactly familiar or comfortable with this control type. In that case, you can simply change to control type B, which adds buttons on the lower right corner of the screen, leaving the virtual joystick to act as the movement button only.        Anyhow, we found the virtual joystick controls to be much more fun because a lot of players try out new basketball games such as this is because either the likes of NBA 2K lacks a certain feature that they want or they want simply want to try something new. Whatever your reason might be, we suggest playing NBA Now 22 as it comes. Certainly, you may need to adjust a couple of settings here and there, but the touch controls are very cool in terms of controls.    Cool Auto-play Feature Auto-play on the mobile platform is becoming a feature that has recently been receiving more criticism than praise as many new mobile games, especially turn-based games, have been over-utilizing the feature more than they should, and many players now see it as a deterring factor in gameplay in the overall experience.    However, in the case of NBA Now 22, Auto-play is a necessary inclusion. In fact, this game would become a bore after playing for a couple of days without the Auto-play feature. The league mode requires you to play 82 home and away matches, with each match having four halves and each half having a duration that ranges from 3 minutes to 12 minutes, depending on which you prefer.    So the Auto-play in this game is simply one of the best features of the game. Also, you can even fast-forward the Auto-play simulation. So if you're in a hurry and just want to get to the end of the simulation without waiting for too long, you can simply hit the fast-forward button and watch it scale to the end of the match. Auto-play can be enabled at any time of a break. For instance, if you're playing a match and you're leading by a lot, at the end of a half, you can choose to enable Auto-play and just simulate the remaining halves of the game instead of finishing the match.      Conclusion There's a lot to admire in NBA Now 22, and our brief review of the game doesn't detail all of the game's exciting features in an in-depth way. There's a lot that sets it apart from others. NBA titles on the mobile platform players with high-end devices will most likely enjoy this game the most as it is highly recommended that you play the game at its highest graphics settings.    In terms of cons, there's really morning negative we could say about this game other than the fact that the number of game modes would make one think the game has too many contents that will tire players in a short time. Having lots of content is good, but making those contents in-game modes could negatively impact the game's success a couple of months from now. Ultimately, NBA Now 22 is a breath of fresh air in the sports genre on mobile devices.

NBA Now 22 - Tips and Tricks to Dominate the Court

NBA Now 22 is a stunning new Basketball mobile game from developers Com2Us after being licensed by the NBA. The game offers both new and improved features on the mobile platform, such as a single-handedly controlled basketball game, various game modes, Auto-play, and real-time PvP multiplayer modes.    There's a lot to admire in this game, and in this article, we'll be giving you helpful tips and tricks that'll help you master the game's tricky controls in no time and dominate opponents in the court.    Master the Basic Controls The default control of this game is a virtual joystick to which all commands like passing, shooting, dribbling, and tackling are assigned. This is a bit tricky at first, but it's pretty cool and easy to use as you get used to it. While you can change controls and switch to type B, the single virtual joystick controls make the game playable with one hand.   Switching to the type B controls will pop out buttons which you can use to pass, shoot, dribble or tackle, while the virtual joystick button will remain as the movement button. One of the first things you need to master is both controls, especially the default one, type A. We advise using control type A since it's one of the major features that make this game stand out compared to other NBA Games on the mobile platform.    There is a clear distinction between both control types A and B. They each have their purpose and are each more efficient than the other when used by the right players. So while the default control type A makes the game unique, we also advise you to pick the control type that's easier and more effective to your gameplay style. You'll be performing mostly basic moves in this game, but the right control will aid you greatly against a tough opponent.      Dominating the Court After you've mastered the game's basic controls, you'll need to understand the gameplay itself. Like the standard rules in basketball, matches in this game consist of four quarters of a set duration that you can choose before the start of any match. Your goal is to win by scoring more points than the opposing team, and to do that; you simply need to shoot the ball into the basket, typical basketball rules.      Dribble: this lets you perform a swift skill on your opponent that lets you get past them.   Pass: If this ball is in your possession, you can swipe in the direction of the teammate you wish to pass to and pass the ball to them.    Shoot: When in close range to the hoop, you can long-press the virtual joystick to target and aim for the basket to perform a shot.    Defend/Tackle: When the opposing team has the ball, you can long-press the virtual joystick to trigger auto-defense and block your opponents from scoring or getting past your defense.    Steal: Just as you can dribble past opponents, they can also dribble past you. So to block them from getting past you, you can swipe left or right and attempt to steal the ball from the opponent.    Block: Opponents don't hesitate to target the basket and shoot. They aim with the slightest opportunity they get. So if you want to stop them from shooting and scoring, you can swipe up using the virtual joystick at the appropriate time and try to block his shot.    The above controls are for the virtual joystick, which is the default control type. Always remember that you can change the control type in a match and use buttons if you want. Whether type A or B, whichever controls you decide to use will probably take you some time to get used to it, but it's a piece of cake after playing the first few matches.    Auto-play isn't a Bad Idea in This Game The game has a cool Auto-play feature that lets you simulate a match and even allows you to fast-forward the game. We know that due to the excess use of the Auto-play feature in many new games nowadays, many players have come to criticize the feature. Some even go as far as saying that Auto-play ruins the gameplay experience entirely.    Well, for some games, it's true, especially strategy and turn-based games. However, considering the League Mode in NBA Now 22 and how you have to play 82 games in a season, surely you can't make time for all the 82 Home and Away matches even if the duration is set to 3 minutes for each half.    This calls for serious Auto-play because, in this game, the Auto-play is fair. Playing at Rookie difficulty and using Auto-play might even see you lose a match if you're not careful. The AI used for Auto-play isn't biased in any way that takes anything from the game. And you can enable Auto-play at any point. If you play the first two halves and have scored enough points to seal your victory, then you can decide to use Auto-play for the remaining game and just watch how your players perform without you in control.     Spend time setting up your Line-up A team is only as successful as the players you decide to use as starters. It is integral that you understand the good players from the bad and learn to place them in their appropriate positions in your squad. Failing to do this will see you lose more matches than you're winning, and if you do happen to win matches, it'll be a lucky winner. So you always need to check your player's stats and make sure to start every match with your best players.    You can also check your current team Line-up from the Manage Team section and see the condition of your players as well as their overall stats. Each Line-up consists of 12 players. 5 starters and 7 substitutes. If you're just starting out, you don't really need to worry about the Line-up because the Auto-switch button can simply help you set your Line-up automatically and put the best players accordingly.      Upgrade your Players Upgrade or level up your players to increase their performance on the court. If you have enough Character Points or Stars, you can increase your player's stats by 3 points each time they level up. Anyhow, there's a chance that you might be unsuccessful in leveling them from time to time using character points. But if you want a 100% success rate, then you'll have to use Stars to upgrade them.    NBA Now 22 becomes very challenging as you progress further, and you'll have to master the controls if you want to compete with other players in real-time PvP.

NBA NOW 22 Beginner's Guide for Faster Progress

NBA Now 22 is an exciting new basketball game from developers Com2Us with official licensing from the NBA. It allows them to deliver accurate gameplay that portrays the basketball matches in real-time but also allows you to play with some of the sport's most popular and most iconic players and teams in the course.    There's a lot to admire in the game as it offers not only real-life players and teams, graphics and visuals, good soundtrack, but it also offers tons of content that some might even label the game as 'bogged down with too much content. Since it's not a manager game, you'll be responsible for controlling your team on and off the pitch and making the right decisions in many aspects such as hiring, releasing players, training, scouting, and Line-up adjustments.    Did we mention that the game offers tons of content that you can access? Because it does, and in this article, we'll be detailing all of those contents and exciting features in our beginner's guide to help you understand the game's basics and sweep the floor with your opponents in the court. So if you're just getting started with the game or plan to get your hands on it sometime soon, this guide is for you.    Choosing Your Favourite Team Before you can dive into the game and experience the thrill of the NBA, you must first choose your team. The options to choose from consist of the most iconic teams in the NBA at your fingertips. Some of them include Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ERS, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Bolton Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, LA Clippers, Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz, and others to choose from.      Getting Past the Tutorial After choosing your team, you'll have to tap on the Create Team button and see your starting squad. You'll then have three options which you will be required to pick a captain or leader to lead your players in matches. After you've picked your team, you'll be shown your full squad, and then you'll be redirected to the tutorial.   The game tutorial is pretty straightforward and easy to get by. It is designed in a way that allows you to play the game with just one hand, but if your device screen is over 6 inches tall, then you may need to use both hands. The tutorial starts out by teaching you how to move with the movement button, which is placed on the lower bottom of the screen.   You can pass, shoot, move, tackle and steal using that single button. Swiping left allows you to pass to a teammate on the left while swiping right lets you pass to a teammate on the right. To shoot, you simply need to press and hold the center of the movement button for 1-2 seconds to make a jump shoot.    To dribble or penetrate an opponent, you should tap the center of the movement button twice. To defend, press and hold the center of the movement button whenever your opponent has the ball to trigger auto-defense. Stealing the ball is pretty easy as well. You can simply swipe left or right to steal, depending on where your opponent is facing. And lastly, you can swipe up just before an opponent makes a jump shot and block it.      Setting up Your Squad Before playing a match, head over to the Manage Team in the lobby and check out your players. You can check your Line-up, Line-up effect, as well as consumables that can improve your player's performances on the court. You can decide to manually set up your squad and select your starters or allow the game to do it for you by tapping on the Auto Switch button.    However, you set your squad, either manually or automatically, always keep an eye on the team condition bar that's placed just above the auto-switch button. If it's green, it means your squad is balanced; yellow means it's good but needs improvement, while red just means they can't compete in the court. So it's always best to make sure it's set to green.   From the Manage Team section, you can also check each player's individual stats in your rooster. This is also where you can combine, upgrade or even release any player you no longer feel should be a part of your team. There is also a mentor option that allows you to upgrade your team always sees that the players are in good shape, but this option is unavailable and is likely to be included in the game's future updates.      Gameplay Basics As stated above, this game was designed to be simple and enjoyed with one hand, and you can only in portrait mode, which sort of gives it all away. However, despite its simplicity and one-handed control, the gameplay can often be tricky and awkward, especially for players who are just starting out.    Because all of the game's controls are packed up into a single button, this can take a while to master. You use the game button to move, pass, tackle, shoot and dribble. So if you have the ball and you're moving through the court, it can be overwhelming to decide what to do. And most times, you'll have to tilt the virtual joystick in the desired direction and perform whatever action you initiated.      Fortunately, there's a solution to this. Players who don't want to have all the commands merged into a single virtual joystick can actually change the control type. Yeah, this game has two control types which are really exciting. The first is the virtual joystick which is the default and is obviously for more advanced players, while the second control type contains buttons like in other NBA Games.    So if you want to perform actions such as passing, dribbling, tackling, or blocking, you simply need to tap the buttons on the right as the actions are labeled on them, instead of swiping with the virtual joystick, which can sometimes be uncomfortable for players that aren't familiar with the control type.

NBA NOW 22 Guide - Understanding the Various Game Modes

NBA Now 22 is the latest installment of Basketball mobile games developers Com2Us, whom the NBA officially licensed with a green light to make this exciting game for mobile devices. The game takes inspiration from EA's NBA 2K games that have reigned on the mobile platform over the years, and it has improved on some of the features of past NBA mobile titles.    This time the developers took their time to add tons of content and game modes to this new installment which, to some extent, we think the game is bogged down with too much content. But we'll leave that for you to decide as we'll be detailing all of the game's modes in this article. So without wasting any more time, here are all the playable game modes in NBA Now 22.     League Mode This is the main NBA League where you can compete against AI opponents and strive to climb up the rankings by playing up to 82 matches per season in Home and Away rules. A tactical card option also allows you to prepare for each league match with just the right strategy. If you have a league match against a tough opponent that you're not sure you can beat, you can take some time to practice just before the match.    League matches also have a decent auto-save feature where if you quit the game in the middle of a match for some reason, you can come back at any time and continue the match from where you left off, or you can choose to re-start the match entirely if it's not in your favor. You can also decide to set it to Auto-play in league matches, which will display a simulation of the match without you actually controlling the players. And if you want to control the players, you will have to choose between playing for 3 minutes or 12 minutes.      Arcade Mode  In Arcade Mode, you can participate in the Dunk Contest, and based on the score you emerge with; you'll be rewarded with Arcade Points accordingly. Additionally, based on the amount of Arcade Points you have, you'll be assigned to a tier every week, and you'll be given Arcade Coins depending on your tier. After you have received your tier rewards, your Arcade Points and tier will reset.    To participate in the Dunk Contest, you'll need Arcade Tickets. For a start, you'll have 5 of them in your inventory that you can use. And the contest is played only by using the player of the week provided by the system. This means you can play the contest using different players every week. Additional points can be earned if you own a player card with the same name as the player of the week. You can keep a close tab on your score and combos in the Arcade Mode lobby screen as well as the players with the highest score.      Friend Mode This is a competitive multiplayer mode that allows you to take on your friends in real-time. The repeat feature is, however, not unlimited. You can only repeat certain missions up to 2-7 times. Some of the daily missions are basic stuff that you can easily complete, such as 'Win a league match, win a ranked battle, Level up a player, etc.    Missions don't only involve playing the game. Some missions don't require you actually to play the game before completing them and earning rewards. Sometimes you'll be asked to Complete the type B control practice or something as easy as changing your current Line-up once, competing in a ranked battle, and so on.      The Shop The shop is whew you can purchase the best items in this game.
