Antara Aku Dan Sepupu Description
This Android application is an explanation of the meaning between me and my cousin by Isnawati, Lc., MA. In PDF format.
Between Me And Cousin
Between a person and his cousin, either close or distant cousin, from the mother's or father's line, there are several laws that exist between them.
Islam has regulated it in such a way, from whether cousins are part of a mahram, can someone and their cousins, can cousins be guardians, are cousins included as heirs, the extent to which one can interact with cousins and the limits of genitalia between someone and their cousins, etc.
In Indonesia, there are many laws related to cousins that are not studied and known by the general public. Because many people think and comfort this cousin into the ranks of brothers, so they feel that between him and his cousin are the same as between him and his brother, there are no boundaries that must be maintained.
Indeed, if traced between a person and his cousin there is still a blood relationship, namely from the same ancestor, although not directly connected.
This time the author feels it is important to try to discuss some of the laws related to someone and his cousin.
A. What is Mahram's Cousin?
The terms of a mahram, because and who is a mahram for someone, Allah has explained in detail in Surah An-Nisa Verse: 23
Forbidden to you (marrying) your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father's sisters, your mother's sisters, the daughters of your sisters, your mothers who breastfeeds you, your sisters suckling, your wife's mothers (in-law), your wife's daughters (stepchildren) who are in your care from the wife you have mixed with, but if you mix with your wife (and you have divorced ); Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful. Not mandatory. (QS. An-Nisa: 23)
The definition of mahram is people who are forbidden to marry. In the verse above, Allah explains that a person's mahram is due to the first, namely blood or lineage.
Who are their mahrams because of kinship relations? Does cousin get in on it?
