A. Why You Should Have Madzhab

We all agree that we must follow Rasulullah SAW as a role model in religion. But to follow Rasulullah SAW, of course there is a way and a path.

Rasulullah SAW in an authentic hadith narrated by Imam Muslim said "The best human being is my generation (Friends), then the next generation (Thabi'in), then the next generation (Thabi'it Thabiin)".

Anyone among us who follows these three generations is of course the same as following the Prophet Muhammad. Because the knowledge of Rasulullah SAW was accepted by the friends, then the friends conveyed the knowledge of the Prophet SAW to the Thabi'in, then the Thabi'in taught the knowledge of the Prophet SAW to the Thabi'it' Thabi'in.

From this we know that the founders of the 4 Madzhabs namely Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Malik, Imam Syafi'iy and Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal lived during the Thabi'it Thabiin generation. This shows that they are the best generation recommended by Rasulullah SAW to be followed.
