The Book of Slandering Passion is a book about the harms of passion and love, written by Al-Hafiz Ibn Al-Jawzi (508-597). In his book, the author talked about the deadly issue of love, adoration, and passion that corrupted hearts and bodies. And the stories of those in love.
Ibn al-Jawzi said in the introduction to his book:
The Book of Slandering Passion Complained to me by some of those whose complaints excited me to compile this book about a calamity afflicted with it, and a passion with it, and asked me to exaggerate in prescribing the medicine for his disease, so I gave him advice and a worm to pay him off, and I brought it in the most eloquent arrangement.
Among the topics that Ibn al-Jawzi touched upon in his book: the virtue of the mind and what is stated in it, denouncing passion and desires, mentioning those who disbelieved because of love, mentioning the news of those who killed their lover, the nature and reality of love, the pests that run on the lover from illness and hardship, urging repentance and seeking forgiveness, The sin of looking and its punishment, guarding the heart from exposure to preoccupations and temptations, warning against the work of Lot's people, being proud of chastity, the reward for turning a blind eye to what is forbidden.
Author:
Ibn al-Jawzi is Abu al-Faraj Abd al-Rahman bin Abi al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad al-Qurashi al-Taymi al-Bakri. A Hanbali jurist, hadith scholar, historian and theologian (510 AH / 1116 AD - 12 Ramadan 597 AH) was born and died in Baghdad. His lineage goes back to Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq, and he was known as Ibn Al-Jawzi because of a walnut tree that was in his house in the town of Wasit, and there was no walnut tree in the town except it.

- Whoever is afflicted with the disease of love and passion should read this book. Perhaps he will be cured from it.. He talks about passion and love, their causes and treatment, and the sayings of the Companions and followers on this, and he quotes some stories that happened in the past
happy
- It is a wonderful book in its stories...all of them are expressive and influential stories..I read in it stories about love that there is no, and there will be no equal in our time. More than 20 stories were shaken..When a lover dies, hardly a day passes until his lover dies behind him and they are buried together. I learned that love is a very wonderful thing, but marriage must be linked, otherwise it will become regret and regret, and I learned a lot from it.

- He who does not prefer the old style of books will not be patient with this book, but it is a valuable book that contains advice for those who have fallen into an unwanted passion. I hear it in my surroundings about people who have fallen into the trap of love and are confused about their affairs and find it difficult to treat them.. The treatment is not easy, but it is available and expensive.. I advise this book to everyone who loves sincerely and sincerely resolves not to disobey God in his beloved.. And I say to him: Books of the whole earth, and sermons The whole world will not benefit if you do not have a preacher from yourself, and if you do not have determination, beautiful patience, and a steel will to overcome your own desires.

Defamation of Passion is a religious, preaching and literary book that includes 50 chapters.. Disadvantage: It is filled with weak hadiths (but it is okay to take them in the virtues of deeds, encouragement and intimidation, and the book replaces them) and stories that I am free of lies, exaggerations and myths .. I enjoyed his company all these days, he was a friend, light-hearted and sociable Useful and preaching.. I recommend reading it

- A book on the harms of passion and love, and their causes and treatment.. and urging repentance, seeking forgiveness, marriage, and others.
Some of the stories I find to some extent fictitious and difficult to believe.. I also read a hadith whose chain of transmission I thought was weak: “Whoever loves, conceals and abstains, then dies, then he is a martyr.” This made me doubt the validity of the rest of the hadiths, but I do not understand these matters, so for me the most important thing is The message addressed.. I recommend reading it

❇️ Some quotes from Ibn al-Jawzi's book Damn al-Hawai ❇️
“The soul is inborn to love passion, so it lacks struggle and disobedience, and when it is not deterred from passion, thought attacks it to seek what it craves, so it becomes accustomed to corrupt opinions, false greed, and wondrous aspirations.”
“And among the remedies for the interior is that a person imagines the end of his purpose, or represents someone else in his place, and then insinuates the consequences of the situation.”
“If the soul desires something, it tends towards it, so that it is with the one it desires more than it is with its body.”
“Your medicine is your desires, and if your desires overcome you, then that is your medicine.”
