Madzhab Talfiq Zakat Fitrah Description
This Android application is an Explanation of the Purpose of the Tafiq Zakat Fitrah Madzhab by Ahmad Zarkasih, Lc. In PDF format.
Every year, problems always arise in the payment of zakat fitrah; "Does it have to be with basic food or can I pay with money?".
For me, paying zakat fitrah with staple food is good and it should be like that. Because it is indeed a plague on the views of the majority of scholars of 4 madhhabs other than al-Hanafiyah in the technical implementation of zakat fitrah. And paying zakat fitrah with money is not something reprehensible; actually this is good, especially when we know the poor are in dire need of money rather than staple food. It's good because this view was born from the scholars of the al-Hanafiyah circle.
Paying zakat with staple foods is good; because so jumhur stipulates. Paying with money is good; because Ahnaf saw the aspect of his benefit. So there's nothing wrong with either, and neither is one better than the other; all of them are good because they were born from authoritative scholars.
The problem is, and is really a problem, there are people who pay zakat fitrah with money to the poor (following Ahnaf) but the value paid is Jumhur value which is only around 2.5 kg. This value is far from the value set by Ahnaf, who determines the level of 3.8 kg or 5 liters.
If that is the case, then he is not practicing the Jumhur view, nor is he practicing the al-Hanafiyah view. Then whose view is it? Can it be like that?
This will be discussed in this booklet.
