The word economy comes from the Greek words oikos and nomos. Oikos means household, while nomos means to manage. So in broad outline the economy is defined as household rules, or household management.
And in terms, economics can be defined as a branch of social science that specifically studies human behavior or a group of people in their efforts to meet relatively unlimited needs, with limited means of satisfying needs.
While Islamic Economics according to Muhammad Abdul Manan in "Islamic Economics; Theory and Practice" is a social science that studies the economic problems of society inspired by Islamic values. The goal of Islamic economics is for the benefit of mankind.
And to maintain the realization of the aspired maslahah, Islamic economics has certain foundations and principles that are its specialty. The basic principles of Islamic economics can be explored and found in many verses and hadiths scattered in hundreds of primary references to Islamic scholarship.
This simple article is structured to briefly explain among the basic principles of Islamic economics which are excavated from the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad. And among these principles are; prohibition of monopoly in the economy, prohibition of cheating and cheating, and collective contract agreements.
