Alhamdulillah, all praise be to Allah SWT who teaches people knowledge, and no human being is knowledgeable except for what Allah SWT has taught him. Blessings and greetings may continue to be bestowed on the great prophet Muhammad saw, as the bearer of the Shari'a, teaching people the science of Shari'a until finally that knowledge reaches us all.
Imsak in fasting is a pillar agreed upon by all scholars, namely refraining from anything that can break the fast, from sunrise to sunset. In general, based on the explanation of QS. Al-Baqarah: 187 indeed there are 3 things that can break the fast, namely eating, drinking and intercourse (husband and wife relationship), but in practice it turns out that there are several other cases that also require an answer whether he also breaks the fast or not.
This booklet was deliberately written at least to assist in answering various questions: Does my fast break? Even though the small book cannot answer everything, the big picture, God willing, can be answered.
Initially, in this book, the author presents several principles that have been used as the basis for judging whether something breaks the fast or not, then the author tries to explain what is agreed to break the fast, followed by things that do not break the fast, and there are several this temporary thing that the author gets is the case that is being debated by the scholars; canceled or not.
At the end, the author presents several conditions where a person may break the fast, some are even advised to break the fast and some are not even asked to fast in the first place.
The author realizes that this book is still far from perfection, please add what is lacking, what is wrong may be reminded, to Allah swt we all ask for forgiveness, and to Him we also hope for all good. Amen.
