This Android application is an Explanation of the Purpose of Ibn Fadhlan's Risale by Ahmad Bin Fadhlan. In PDF format.
Ibn Fadhlan's travel notebook is a single and only manuscript which is very complicated, many of the explanations are truncated and filled with names of clothes, names of figures and regions. It is as if every word in the book is a source of confusion and doubt that requires careful study and verification. I would have almost given up on researching it if only Nikita Elieseeff — my orientalist friend who mastered the Russian language — had not shown me several references in Russian and German relating to this account by Ibn Fadhlan. He encouraged me to continue researching this note, which he himself had studied as material for his doctoral studies and pinned his hopes on me to fully disclose it in the hope that he could devote his attention to other matters.
Hopefully the material content of this application can be useful for self-introspection and better improvement in everyday life.
