Nice features except one very annoying bug. When accessing the assistant from the lock screen, the screen will never turn off without physical interaction with the phone. For example, saying, "Hey Google, turn off the lights." It'll do it, but your phone will stay illuminated in the lock screen for the rest of the night. My old Note 9 didn't have this bug. Otherwise, it's decent.
Where to begin. I stupidly changed to the Gemini version and it's absolutely garbage. To call this an "assistant" is a disgrace to the definition. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to allow it to set reminders and then later found out it can't even support playing music from YOUTUBE MUSIC. (Or any other music app) What?! And the worst part is gh6they have built in a bug that crashes the app should you try to revert back to the original assistant that could actually do things.
Gemini disguised as Assistant. The February update added Gemini, and you could choose to use it as the Assistant or not. It was slow and took extra steps, so I un-installed it. Now, with the March update, it has become the assistant. Not only Can't you switch back to the original, fast, efficient, and capable Assistant, you also can't customize the voice. The Gemini takes half a minute to figure out what you have asked it, then it takes another 30 seconds to do what you wanted, if it works.
