Disgaea games are known for their intricate and out-of-the-world characters, and mechanics and Item World are no different. Boltrend Games and Forward works have brought this fantastic franchise to life as Disgaea RPG for mobile fans. Even though it’s released on mobile platforms, Disgaea RPG is best played on PC. It keeps true to many Hallmarks of the original franchise's mechanics that fans loved and adored. Item Worlds is one of them.
In this guide, we will particularly explain to you the mechanics of Item World and how to efficiently progress in it. You have to keep in mind that both the game and item worlds are a marathon of sorts and a not sprint as they take a slow process of clearing and upgrading your items through them to see gains through the process.
It would help if you took your time to level each of the characters you pull and each item you find as characters have a level cap of 9999 while items' max level depends on their rarity. For more information on making the best pulls at the start of the game, we have a great guide available to Re-roll in Disgaea RPG.
All the equipment and gear that you either buy or find is upgraded through the Item world. Each of these items that you acquire has a separate dimensional world in them. You start with level 1 of the item by killing some monsters inhabiting it and upgrading the level of the said item by 1 level. Then progress to the next level to rinse and repeat to increase the stats of your particular item.
Each item has a max number of levels that depend on the item's rarity, which we'll discuss in detail in the preceding sections of the guide.
You also level up your characters while progressing in the Item World by leveling up your items. You don't require game Action Points to enter Item Worlds and following levels on each item, which is a good thing after you have finished your AP and can now grind in Item world while your AP fills back up.
Item world is essential because you want to unlock the best items in the game, and it will give you a bunch of HP. Go to the Demonic Curry or Prism blue, which provides one of your characters with a high amount of speed as you’ll be getting at least one of both from Pre-registration rewards.
Item world is unlocked as soon as you finish the mission "Let's Take out the Trash!" in episode 2, the 3rd node in the campaign episode halfway through.
Before we start with item world, you need to go to EP1 for the last mission, and the reason behind it is that there you'll find the Prism Blue item, which will give one of your characters a high-speed boost.
Start by claiming the pre-registration gifts to provide you with excellent gear to make your start fast. Ensure to equip gear like this in one of the things that the game doesn't explain to you. You can buy items from the shop by using HL.
Initially, the gear isn't that good, and to get better items; you'll need to upgrade your Customer Rank. Increasing the customer rank is done by passing the relevant bill in the Dark Assembly. You can unlock more bills by playing story mode missions and be sure to keep progressing in it.
Don’t forget to do refreshes in the shop, as the game allows you to refresh five times per day to browse for a legendary piece of gear.
You can enter the item world by first selecting a weapon or armor from the armor tab, and when you choose an item, you'll see a small portrait of the character that is currently equipped with it. Then select the item world button to go.
When selecting a weapon and armor, you must always consider which character you’ll be equipping it to as different roles required different investments and must consider a character's Forte to maximize the stats you gain from that item. The Forte-related item can be swapped for an item due to a specific possibility when the situation requires.
For example, you’ll want muscle dream to equip it on Noel as her main Evelity is healing all allies by 6% of max HP. Muscle dream gives 165,000 HP, which translates to a massive boost to your heals every turn.
Similarly, in the case of armor, when choosing, you need to consider the character's placement. For example, front characters may need more DEF in their items, while back-liners need as little as possible.
As soon as you have found the correct item for your character, you can enter the Item World to start leveling it. Each passing level also increases the scale of the enemies on that level. In addition, each level increases the stats of the item after finishing it, plus your characters also farm XP.
As mentioned before, each item has its maximum level, which is dictated by its rarity, which is shown below.
You’ll encounter a boss every few levels, and details are as follows:
Defeating the Bosses provides a significant boost to the item's stats, and the loot may drop an item that is one rank above the current Item World's level and has a 50% drop chance from the Boss.
Another neat trick that you can do to get an amazing item while progressing in Item World is to send many level-1 characters into one of the Item Worlds. You send level 1 characters because you want them to die, and by dying, they go to the Nether Hospital after they die. As soon as you hit 5000 deaths, you’ll get a chance to choose a weapon that can boost your game.
You’ll want an item like muscle dream and then equip it to give one of your characters 165,000 HP. For example, if you equip it with Noel, her main Evelity is healing all allies by 6% of max HP, and muscle dream will give you a massive boost to your heals.
Innocents in Disgaea RPG are creatures that also reside in the Item World and can be subdued to use. Innocents are like socketed gems in other games and added to each item to provide bonuses to that particular item like EXP Boost 2% or INT Boost 3%. Innocents are included in the population limit of each item, and only a certain number of innocents are allowed to stay in an item, so choose wisely.
Choose the innocent of socketing an item that compliments the relevant stat to your character. Initially, players ignore socketing innocents as you’ll be switching out items regularly because you'll find many items during story missions and events and finally socket when you have found one of them you like.
You can know if an item has innocents in its Item World or not because if an item has an angry red face in detail, it shows innocent can be encountered in this item. They are slated to appear at random when you're leveling the item.
As soon as you encounter one of the Innocents in battle, you have to subdue it by bribing to make sure you do that first instead of killing them. Bribe works by giving them gold or crab miso to increase your chances in a mini-game of starts when trying to subdue an Innocent. Then, a purple bar pops up, which shows Innocent's affinity, and you can subdue as soon as the bar fills up. Don't worry about killing Innocents while Auto-leveling because the game pauses as soon as you encounter one.
LDPlayer has tons of features that help take your gaming experience to the next level with improved graphics and framerate. For example, you can use the emulator’s in-built keyboard mapping feature to quickly bind keys to your mouse and keyboard, emulating the experience of an actual PC game.
