Overview:

 

You will be thrown in Troi, the first debut city of PUBG New State, a bustling metropolis filled with tons of dense buildings and cities that populate the entire landscape. However, you won't be the only person dropping.

 

 

 

Depending on the game mode that you select, you will be dropping in with more than 150 players at a time who will be consisting of solos, duos, squads, or trios. Once you are on the plane, you will identify your plane route, which is the line in which the plane will be landing.

 

There, you will be allowed to drop at any team with your team or alone. Once you drop, you will be alerted to open your parachute after a specific amount of time. You can also maneuver around freely while parachuting and completely change your trajectory or deploy your parachute early to be able to go to places much further away.

 

In any case, as soon as you drop off from the plane, you are free to go wherever you please. As soon as you hit the ground, all enemy players can kill you, and you can do the same. Therefore, you should start moving around the area that you’ve dropped at and start picking up weapons that can help you take them out.

 

Once you loot up on equipment and armor, you'll need to pay close attention to your map and take a look at the circle. The circle dictates the playable area of the map at all times. To condense players in so that the match ends and players do not camp the entire time, the circle moves into particular randomized locations after players are given a few minutes for relocating. Each circle provides players with an even shorter time to relocate.

 

After being relocated, players are forced to fight in even more confined quarters, with each circle getting progressively smaller. After only one squad is left alive, the team is declared the winner, and the match ends. If you die at any point during the duration of the match, you are free to leave.

 

Do note that you can spectate your teammates if you are playing as Duos, Trios, or Squads.

 

What Weapons To Loot?

 

After you've understood how the game works, most players start thinking about all the different weapons in the game and remain relatively confused as to what their early game, mid-game, and late-game loadout should look like for optimal performance. Well, for starters, you'll see an abundance of shotguns in PUBG New State. This is because the map itself has a lot of close-quarters where shotguns reign supreme. Naturally, you should pick up shotguns in the early game as they deal the highest amount of damage. For mid-range engagements, which will be rarer in the early game, go for an SMG. They are lightfast, pack a punch, and have an abundance of ammo which makes them effective.

 

Mid Game:

 

Your Mid Game and Late Game weapon loadout usually remain the same. For most players, you should switch to an AR and Sniper Combo. While an AR does not equate to an SMG or Shotgun when it comes to short-range, they are much more effective weapons at medium to long-range, where SMGs and Shotguns do not work at all.

 

Therefore, the safest bet for all general purposes is to go for an AR and to remain in situations where you are at least a few feet away from the enemy. Snipers are all-around just an absolute classic pick. They provide you with great range, and most snipers in the game can easily take out players with one headshot knocking them to the ground or killing them if they are playing online.

 

DMRs are not very effective in New State because snipers generally beat them when it comes to raw damage, and since you won't be having elongated fights at long range, you are much better off with an AR. This is, however, purely dependent on how the meta develops as the game progressively has balance changes and weapons are changed around.

 

Late Game:

 

Once you hit the late game, you should drop your Sniper. The Sniper won't be very effective in such a small circle as its advantage of the range is completely trumped. Instead, you should try gearing up on closer ranged engagements. So, this is where your SMG or Shotgun comes back in, coupled with your AR. With both these guns, you should be able to cover the short-range well, with the medium-range also being under lock.

 

However, you might not always be able to completely swap out your weapons, and that is completely fine too. Most players tend to keep their weapons in the mid-game, with them well into the late game. What you can do, however, is always check what weapons the enemy that you killed has. In most cases, they might have something that should help you sustain yourself better!

 

Audio Is Key:

 

Having a good pair of headphones plugged in can make an insane difference to your overall gameplay. With Surround Sound and high-quality audio in PUBG New State, the game has never felt so crisp. However, to take advantage of these features, you will need a good set of headphones.

 

 

 

Once you do, make sure to adjust audio options appropriately according to your preference. You should keep the audio quality to the highest option available and crank the master volume up as much as possible. Once you do, you will need to identify footsteps to echolocate where the enemy is. This is made easier because you can see their footsteps on the minimap as soon as they pop up. You are also able to get a visual representation of where you were shot from.

 

Reducing Your Own Audio Profile:

 

After you utilize audio to your advantage, you'll realize how easy it is for someone to take advantage of hearing you and take you down before you notice. As such, there's a few ways for you to reduce your audio profile by a significant margin and not create as much noise as you did earlier. Implementing these habits consistently into your gameplay can significantly decrease the chances someone hears you and catches you off-guard:

 

• Moving Around Less: Perhaps the most obvious trick in the book, you'll be generating less noise if you move around less. Try to stay booked to a room or in a building and make sure there isn't anyone near you before you start moving.

 

• Crouch Walking: Quite annoying and slow to do. But, it's quite useful when you want to get away from a place without being in trouble. We recommend only using crouch walking when you are in the late game circle.

 

• Staying Away From Buildings: PUBG New State has an audio mechanic wherein closed areas have a higher chance of producing footsteps due to the material of the flooring you have your steps tread with. As such, try to move away from buildings and go towards more open areas as there is also a lower chance that players will be camping your location from there.

 

Another aspect of audio seemingly ignored is the directional audio provided to gunfire in the game. Now, you should be able to quickly identify where a shot is coming from relative to your character's position. While this can be very hard to get used to at the start, you should be able to get an idea of where every shot is coming from, allowing you to dodge and weave much more accurately than ever before.

 

Adjusting Your Settings:

 

A lot of players make the mistake of playing the game on Default Settings. While this is not entirely detrimental, it can hinder your gameplay by a significant margin as you will not be playing on optimal settings.

 

The first setting we recommend cranking up is your graphics. You should turn off shadows and set everything else too high. We set shadows to low / off because they make it hard to distinguish between players and places with shadows turned too high since they darken the environment near you, making players much harder to distinguish.

 

The next setting you should be focusing on is your controls. You should enable the Peek option as it lets you be more versatile in the game. Next, you should tailor make your binds, so it better suits you.

 

Suppose you are playing on an Emulator like LDPlayer. In that case, you can use their keymapping feature to implement the binds that work with a mouse and keyboard presenting you with a greater degree of skill and will significantly add to your gameplay.

 

Next, you should adjust your sensitivity according to what you feel is the most comfortable. You should also increase the minimap size to about 150% and reduce the size of all overall HUD elements to reduce clutter on your screen by a significant margin.

 

Lastly, head on to graphics and select your FPS or frames per second. These determine how smooth your game run, and the higher the FPS, the better and smoother your experience will feel. Make sure to turn this setting up to the maximum possible. Do note that to achieve the highest frame rate. You might need to sacrifice some visual fidelity in pursuit of unlocking the "Extreme" FPS option, which is mainly used for high-end phones and emulators.

 

Inventory Management

 

Just like any other mobile Battle Royale game, PUBG New State can let you auto-loot. While this is useful, it also adds tons of clutter to your inventory. You should go ahead and adjust that in your settings to reduce the number of things you pick up for certain items. For example, you can set a limiter to the only auto pick up three first aid packs at a time.

 

Do note that you can still pick up limited items. You will just need to manually pick them as compared to them being scavenged automatically.

 

Keeping track of Your Ammo:

 

 

 

SMGs, ARs, and Snipers all have unique ammo types exclusive to them, and they cannot be used interchangeably. You can find out how much ammo you have at any given moment by looking at the bottom part of your screen.

 

Here are the average amount of bullets you will need to take someone out with each gun:

 

• AR: 13 Bullets
• SMGs: 22 Bullets
• Sniper: 2 Bullets

 

These numbers indicate the average amount of time and bullets you'll need to take someone out with each gun, respectively. In most cases, it only takes 2-3 bullets from an AR and SMG and one from a Sniper to knock someone down. However, you are bound to miss with recoil playing a major role in the game.

 

So, try to have at least 100-200 ammo for an SMG and AR at all times with 50 for a Sniper. Do note that you won't have a lower movement speed or anything of the sort, even if you have bigger backpack space than everyone else.

 

Team Communication Is Of The Essence:

 

Whenever you play the game, you should be able to communicate with your team effectively. However, to do so, there are two particular features introduced into the game that should help you get up to speed.
