Brawlhalla is a free to play action game with more than 50 characters, and each character comes with different stats. And guess what! All the characters are almost free. You can buy the characters from the coins you win after a match, so it is free, but you will have to make an effort.
Brawlhalla is one of the Ubisoft Entertainment games, and it's widely available on PS4, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Mobile. Players can choose to play Online matches, ranked matches, Free for all, Cross-Play Custom Rooms, Training Room, etc. Each room has multiple modes in which you can either play solo versus solo or duo versus duo, etc.
This Brawlhalla guide will help you learn the game, improve gameplay, and teach you everything you need to know about Brawlhalla. The guide is directed to every type of player who is playing or wants to play the game but wants to know more about Brawlhalla. So, without further ado, let's get started.
Let's talk about some of the Brawlhalla's important things.
Each legend has two weapons, three unique signature attacks per weapon, and four different stats. Stats include Strength, Dexterity, Defense, and Speed.
Strength: Affects how much damage your opponent will take and the strength of knockback on your attacks.
Dexterity: Affects how quickly you recover after missing or landing an attack.
Defense: Affects how much damage you take and how far away you fly after getting hit.
Speed: Affects your ground movement speed, air movement speed as well as ground and air acceleration.
Health bars can be seen in the actual game on the top right of your screen. In the standard ruleset, every player starts with three stocks. Stocks represent your total amount of lives. The color of your health bar represents how much knockback you will get when you are hit. In one versus one match, once one of the players is out of stock, the game is finished.
There are three kinds of attacks in Brawlhalla. Grounded Light Attacks, Aerial Attacks, and Signature and Heavy Attacks.
Grounded Light Attacks: These attacks include Neutral Light, Side Light, and Down Light.
Aerial Attacks: These attacks include Neutral Air, Side Air, Down Air, and Recovery, and ground pound.
Signature and Heavy Attacks: These attacks include Neutral Signature, Side Signature, and Down Signature.
You can also throw your weapon by pressing the throw button weapon. Weapon throw is a good move to interrupt your opponent quickly. You can use weapon throw against multiple opponents in "free for all" to get more advantage; however, it deals minor damage.
Change your layout style according to your playstyle. Layout customization will increase your gameplay drastically. For example, if you are a four-claw player, you can use the screenshot settings or customize one for yourself. Also, use the joystick as it will help you a lot with your speed movements.
Using the right or left Joysticks/buttons will make your character run. Each character has one grounded jump and two aerial jumps; however, recovery jump doesn't count as a separate jump. Instead, it can be used to replace jumps, but if you use more than one recovery jump, the follow-up recoveries will be exhausted until you touch the ground.
Holding down while being in the air will make your character fall faster. Falling faster on the ground doesn't cause damage.
There are four kinds of dodges: Aerial Directional Dodge, Aerial Spot Dodge, Grounded Spot Dodge, and Chase Dodge. Usually, you can perform dodge in any direction in the air by pressing the Dodge or dash button. You can only perform directionless spot dodges on the ground.
You can perform chase dodge by pressing the dodge/dash button in a small-time frame after landing a hit. Chase dodges are more powerful than normal dodge, and landing a grounded hit can guarantee up to two chase dodges. The best part about chase dodges is that you can cancel them at any time into any attacks or for granting more invincibility frames.
Touching a wall will restore your aerial jumps and your recovery but not your grounded jump, which means you will have one wall jump, tow aerial jumps, and one recovery. Dodging into the wall will interrupt your dodge immediately.
However, you will have some of your momentum from the dodge. Although every wall touch restores your jumps but sitting on the wall forever is impossible in Brawlhalla because of wall slip.
There are four forms of dashes: Forward Dash, Backward Dash, Jump Dash, and Sprint Dash.
Forward and Backward Dash: You can perform dashes on the ground by pressing left and right buttons with dodge/dash buttons at the same time.
Jump Dash: You can perform jump dash by dashing in any direction and pressing jump afterward.
Sprint Dash: You can perform sprint dash while pressing dash in any direction and holding that direction continuously.
Brawlhalla is an extensive game in which you usually rely on practice. Brawlhalla characters come with different stats; some will have high speed, defense, etc. To choose the best Brawlhalla characters, you will have to look at the Brawlhalla tier list.
As mentioned, the game is about fun and practice. You will love the whole design as long as you practice hard and enjoy the game. Also, watch out for the events and "Brawlhalla redeem codes" on their website as it will help you get characters faster.
The above-mentioned guide is a know-to guide in which I have included the most important things you should know before playing Brawlhalla. The guide includes a detailed version of Dash, Movements, Jumps, etc. It also covers how you can use the dashes, dodges, etc. to your advantage.
Once again, do not forget to practice as much as possible as it will help you increase your movements and attack speed. The high speed and movements will help you in dodging enemy attacks.
