Cooking is a very important Mechanic in moonlight sculptors. It highly affects your in-game performance by giving different buffs to your character. These character buffs depend on what kind of food you are eating and how far you have progressed in the game, as some recipes are only unlockable late game. How to Cook in Moonlight Sculptor:

Now that you know about the importance of cooking in moonlight sculptor, you need to find a cooking spot near you as soon as possible. You can find a cooking spot by pressing on the mini-map, and there you will spot a campfire or a chef cap; both of these places will allow you to cook food. Almost all the zones in the game have one of these cooking spots, so it won't be very hard to get your hand on one.

 

When you navigate yourself to the Chef cap symbol, you will find an NPC chef with a cooking pot. By interacting with the chef, you will be able to cook whatever recipes you have unlocked. The same goes for the campfire symbol, but there won't be any NPC around the campfire at the campfire. So, you will be able to cook by just interacting with the campfire.

 

Crafting food and Food Buffs:

 

After you interact with an NPC or get to a campfire from there, you can access the crafting table. Here, you will be able to craft all the recipes you have unlocked by progressing through the game or using culinary research. You can craft from a list of items that you have a recipe for, and after clicking on one, the game will let you know what ingredients you need. If you have sufficient ingredients for the recipe you're making, you can just click on the craft button, and the game will provide you with food in exchange for these ingredients.

 

Each food has different buffs that they offer. These buffs depend on the categories into which these foods fall into. These categories are:

 

  • Food of Strength
  • Food of Knowledge
  • Food of Wisdom
  • Food of Endurance
  • Food of Agility
  • Food of Charisma

 

Each category will affect its relative stat, and the more complex recipe you make, the higher your buff stats will be. So, learning about these categories is a must if you want to have a proper grip on these food buffs.

 

Crafting XP and Chance for Great Success:

Apart from the usual buffs that the game offers for each kind of recipe. The game also grants the user Crafting XP for each time he crafts a recipe. This Crafting XP is very important as it will increase your crafting level, which will help you open other recipes. Apart from Crafting XP, the game also offers a Chance for Great Success, which are additional buffs. The chance to get this buff is a mere one percent which makes it very unlikely to get your hands on, but if you get it by a stroke of luck, it will help your stats greatly.

 

Keeping an Eye on Your Stomach Bar:

 

On the top left side of the game, you will see a meat peace icon right next to your HP Bar. This icon represents how much your character's stomach is filled. Keeping an eye on this bar is very important as the stomach bar gives your character buffs and debuffs, depending on the bar's percentage. The general idea regarding the stomach bar is to keep it above 20 percent to get that extra 5 percent ATK buff.

After you open the Culinary Research tab, you will be able to combine different cooking ingredients to make Recipes. However, there are certain combinations you need to know to make specific recipes. If you enter ingredients that don't match any recipes, your ingredients will get wasted, making unidentified food that won't give you any buffs.
