Translation of the book Fathul Qawiyyil Matin fi Syahril Arba'in wa Tatimmatul Khamsin
In fact, among the themes written by the scholars in the hadiths of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam are arba'in hadiths. Namely a collection of forty hadiths of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
They wrote this based on hadiths related to the virtue of memorizing forty hadiths from the hadiths of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. An-Nawawi mentioned in the preamble of his Arba'in book that the hadith came from the nine companions of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam that he mentioned. Then he said, "And the scholars of huffazh (hadith memorizers) agree that the hadith is a da'if hadith, even though there are many paths."
And he mentioned that he wrote his Arba'in book not based on this hadith, but because of other hadiths. As he said shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, "Those who witness (present) among you convey to those who are not present". And his words "May Allah glorify someone who listens to my words, then he understands them...".
