1. Definition of Proposition
Before discussing whether the fiqhiyah rule is a proposition or not, it is better if we first explore what is called a proposition. Because it's impossible for us to discuss this discussion systematically if we don't understand what proposition is and its types.
The linguistic meaning of the proposition comes from the word dalla-yadullu which means to show. Or with arsyada-yursyidu sinoni. And the proposition is isim fai'il which means murshid or showing
Meanwhile, in terms of ushuliyyin theorem means:
everything that, with the right analysis, can be used as a guide to find out the desired information, even if only to a dzanni degree.
2. Types of postulates
The proposition in Islamic law is divided into two based on whether it is agreed upon or not. There are several arguments agreed upon. In the sense that all scholars accept it and use it as a proposition. There is also an argument that is not accepted by all scholars about its existence as an argument. Or in other words, the argument is mukhtalaf.
