Salmo 97 Description
1 The Lord reigns! Rejoice the earth and rejoice the distant coastal regions.
2 Dark and thick clouds surround him; righteousness and justice are the basis of his throne.
3 Fire goes before him and devours the surrounding adversaries.
4 His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees them and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Sovereign of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness; and all the peoples behold his glory.
7 All those who worship images and boast of idols are disappointed. All the gods bow down before him!
8 Zion hears and rejoices, and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments, Lord.
9 For you, Lord, are the Most High over all the earth! You are exalted far above all gods!
10 Hate evil, you who love the Lord, for he protects the lives of his faithful and delivers them from the hands of the wicked.
11 Light is born upon the righteous, and joy upon the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, upright, and praise his holy name.
