A. Definition of Al-Lamsu and al-Massu Touch
The word touch or touch in Arabic is referred to in several words. There is something called lamasa - yalmasu lamsu which means to touch, to feel the condition of a surface being touched. Is it hot or cold. Is it hard or soft.
Then the second is the word massa – yamassu massun which means touching in any form. It could be just sticking or wanting to feel a surface debagiaman on the meaning of lamasa – yalmasu. But in general the two words are very close together. Only I, the first is more specific and the second is more general, can be used in various conditions and circumstances.
Both lamasa and massa, these two words can have two meanings; haqiqi and majazi. The meaning of haqiqi means real touch where skin meets skin or surface. While the meaning of majazinya means touch which means intercourse between husband and wife or jima'.
B. Examples of Nash Al-Quran
Examples of Nash Al-Quran and Hadith Mentioning the Words Al-Lamsu and Al-Massu
1. First
And if you are sick or on a journey or returning from defecating (latrine) or touching women, then if you do not get water, then do tayammum with good (holy) dust…” (QS. An-Nisa': 43).
We also find similar to this verse in another part, namely Surah Al-Maidah: 6.
2. Second
She Maryam said: "O my Lord, how is it possible for me to have children, even though no man has touched me?" (QS. Ali Imran: 47)
3. Third
Nothing touches it (the Koran) except the servants who are purified."
