'Illat Hukum Description
This Android application is an explanation of the intent of 'Illat Hukum by Ahmad Sarwat, Lc., MA. In PDF format.
'Illat Hukum
The term 'illat may not be familiar to our ears. We hear the term proposition more often than 'illat. Although actually in several ways, 'illat and dalil have more or less the same function or position. In fact, in some cases, the term 'illat is even more striking when using the term proposition.
A simple example is in the case of the prohibition of khamr. Why is khamr forbidden? This question is actually still somewhat ambiguous and general. Because the answers can vary, for example because it makes people drunk, or because Allah has forbidden it, or it could be because it will have a bad impact on society.
There is nothing wrong with the three answers above, it's just that to be more precise, it must be positioned using the right terms. If khamar is forbidden because it is intoxicating, that is what is called 'illat. So in this case 'illat means the essence of the point of the prohibition of khamr lies in its ability to cause intoxication.
Meanwhile, if khamr is forbidden because Allah SWT makes it forbidden in the Qur'an, that is not 'illat but an argument, namely the argument for prohibition. In this case, the argument does not require a logical and logical explanation, the main thing is that if Allah SWT says it is haram, then it is already illegal.
Meanwhile, if the answer is that khamr is forbidden so that there will be no bad social impact in society, that is not 'illat and it is not a proposition, but it is called the wisdom of prohibition.
So we must be able to distinguish between the three terms, namely 'illat haram, the argument for haram and the wisdom for haram. Let's not be confused in giving answers to the public.
This book in your hands discusses one of these three terms, namely 'illat Hukum. Hope it's useful. Amen.
